About Kalvin L.S.

"Think, Believe, Dream, and Dare".

An eight-year-old boy approached an old man in front of a wishing well, looked up into his eyes, and asked: "I understand you're a very wise man. I'd like to know the secret of life."

The old man looked down at the youngster and replied: "I've thought a lot in my lifetime, and the secret can be summed up in four words. The first is 'think'. Think about the values you wish to live your life by. The second is 'believe'. Believe in yourself based on the thinking you've done about the values you're going to live your life by. The third is 'dream'. Dream about the things that can be, based on your belief in yourself and the values you're going to live by. The last is 'dare'. Dare to make your dreams become reality, based on your belief in yourself and your values." And with that, Walter E. Disney said to the little boy, "Think, Believe, Dream, and Dare".

This site is dedicated to the memory of Kal. He is much loved and will always be remembered by all his friends and family.

Although young in age, Kalvin was a wonderful son who lived his life to the fullest, surrounded by loving family and friends. Kalvin loved us all in return and wants us to remember how he lived.

Kalvin endured trying physical hardships with remarkable courage and great character, never complaining and always optimistic about the future. His heart warming smile and constant politeness to others in the face of daunting challenges was an unforgettable inspiration to all.

Through the example he set, Kalvin left us with an important lesson on life that we each have a choice about how we live our lives. With each day of his life, Kalvin showed us that we can choose to live our lives with love and compassion for others and with bountiful hope. And it is with this choice that we can truly give our lives great meaning and feel the awesome grace of God's embrace.

To those I love and those who love me..." When I am gone, release me, let me go, I have so many things to see and do, you mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love. You can only guess how much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown. But now it's time I traveled alone. So grieve a while for me, if you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust. It is only for a while that we must part. So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near. And if you listen with your heart, you will hear all of my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and "Welcome Home." "By: Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel"

Although I came to heaven, I love you all and don't want you to be sad, but to be happy and remember me:

Remember me for my laughs and not for my tears... Remember me for my braveness, not for my weakness... Remember me for my accomplishments, my love and how well I lived my life.

Thank you dad, mom, Fergie, family and friends for seventeen great years with you.

I will be waiting in heaven smiling down on you.

Love,

Kal
